Why can't I just understand him?

2 weeks ago I got the number of a guy who I knew from school. He was the head boy and everyone knew him, what you could say a local celebrity. So of course when I heard that he had been asking everyone who I worked with at our local club for my number I was stoked! So 2 weeks ago he succeeds and we speak everyday. Then we meet up at his house one night after my work and we make-out but don't go all the way basically coz i didnt want to but i said that he would have to wait until thursday. so fully not expectin to see him until then, he then asks me out shoppin on tuesday wich was really sweet. wednesday nite we meet randomly at another club and go back home and get to third base. Then all day on Thursday we don't txt eachother at all but still meet up like we planned and as planned we slept together that night. Then i didn't hear from him at all that day until I msged him twice n he finally msged me late that night. we then didnt talk all weekend until i couldn't take it anymore on monday when i invited him over to talk. u'r probably wondering wher im goin with this but i'm gettin there. anyway conversation basically started with me askin wat was going on and him sayin that he was really busy with work and that he didn't want to get into a relationship with someone that he couldn't see. my reaction was that if he wanted it to happen then it would. he then says lets just see what happens. basically i don't know if this means i'm sposed to wait until we accidently meet up again or i'm sposed to act like we did before and txt him like everythings fine. what do i do?
