Do you think the Red Wings will still be in the play offs when they have THREE forty year old players?
Yes, Lidstrom is a freak of nature. Dr and Modano's careers are pretty much over, though. I think that the Wings shouldn't have picked up Modano. I hate when teams pick up overpriced veteran free agents. Modano hasn't really made a huge impact on this team and barely ever played in that Phoenix series. Anyway, the Wings also have Pavel Datsyuk who, in my opinion is the most talented player in the NHL. He sets up plays for others instead of taking 50 shots a night like Ovechkin so he doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves. They also have Henrik Zetterberg and Tomas Holmstrom and Brian Rafalski and many others. They also have young up and coming stars such as Darren Helm, Justin Abdelkader, and Jonathan Ericsson. This team will be in the playoffs, I guarantee it. The Tampa Bay Lightning have surprised me the most by not being that good. They have offensive stars such as Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, and Steven Stamkos yet they have been dominated by the Crosby and Malkin-less Pittsburgh Penguins. They must not have very good goaltending. I'm not even going to answer the other question.
