What's the point of School?!?

I am in my Sopre Year of High School (10th grade) and i am really beginning to lose reason in life because of the fact that 90% of it is pointless busy work. I'm not trying to sound like a person who just wants to sit around and do nothing (In fact that's why I found school pointless) But I have learned more by myself outside of school within in a week then I have in a 6 week period at school. Everyday when I get home I record my own music, I have created amazing animations with literally over a hundred characters, and I have learned a lot about my interests and even studied on my own For instance I have researched such topics as the Renaissance, Leonardo Da Vinci, The Ten Dimensions, Albert Einstein, and a lot more. However in school, even if you do learn something it has no purpose or long term value, then on the other hand, you don't remember half of the material because it is so boring. Anyways, just what is the point of school if your just locked up inside of a small room crammed with other kids and missing out on the rest of the worlds wonders?
