Photography tips for freelancing?

so im thinking about doing some freelancing photography for people and i want to know what it consists off. Like whats the minimum mega pixels a camera should have for good payable photographs and how much should be charged. I have an olympus camera that's 12 mega pixels with 15x optical zoom (wide). also any tips are good.
